Downtown Raleigh’s 6th annual alleycat race takes place Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Oak City Cycling Project. Hurray!!! We are proud to ride again for SAFE Haven Cat Shelter & Clinic, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping cats and kittens all across the Triangle.

Don’t worry: You’ll be rewarded for your efforts with the chance to win fabulous prizes. Registration is $10 (day-of registration is $15) and all proceeds will benefit SAFE Haven Cat Shelter & Clinic. Over the last 5 years, we’ve raised over $10,000 to provide low-cost spay and neuter services, a pet food pantry, and pet adoption throughout the Triangle.

When is it?

The ride will begin at 12:00 pm at Oak City Cycling Project on Sunday, August 28, 2016 and will conclude at 3:00 pm at the same location. Winners will be announced at 3:30 pm. Check-in begins at 11.

What is the route?

Inspired by a scavenger hunt, Hepcat’s route is kept secret until 12 p.m. on race day. All checkpoints are contained within downtown Raleigh. Take your cell phone and prepare for a scavenger hunt!

What’s the money for?

Hepcat is a charity ride, with all proceeds going to benefit SAFE Haven Cat Shelter & Clinc. For twenty years, SAFE Haven—a nonprofit, no-kill shelter—has provided the Triangle with low-cost spay and neuter services, along with adoptions and public education. Through the race, Hepcat aims to raise enough money to sponsor the spay/neuter fees of 50 cats at SAFE Haven’s low-cost spay/neuter clinic.
